RVDL Academy Tryout Assessment
Next formal Tryout Assessment Day will be in the Fall 2013
All players will be taken through a warm-up, skills training session followed by skills tests and finishing with games. During the coaches review, players will be assessed and will be provided 3 pathways of development based on their ability levels presented.
1st Pathway- An immediate invite to join the age appropriate Academy Team.
2nd Pathway- Join our age appropriate Pre-Academy Group in order to provide an accelerated pathway to development and then potentially on to the Academy Team.
3rd Pathway- Be invited to join one of our Soccer School programs in order to develop the strong foundation necessary to gain confidence and consistency with the ball in order to move to the Pre-Academy for accelerated development.

THE REAL PATHWAY TO THE PREMIERSHIP
The Success our teams experienced in the Keele Cup in the UK and the numerous Professional Club scouts that commented very positively on our teams performances including some individual players, has fueled our vision of creating the very best players and teams, not only in Ontario but in the whole of Canada. Our Mission is to develop players to their full potential and utilizing our contacts to expose the elite players to Scholarship opportunities or Professional playing careers.
We are looking for talented and driven players that have the desire to do more to reach their potential. Players will receive top class training from our well trained and internationally experienced Full-time coaching staff. All coaches are mentored and assessed by Robin, the Technical Director, on a continuous basis so we are able to maintain our Vision of suppling a high quality, detail oriented, consistent program for all our players.
RVDL Academy Scholarship Program
In keeping with our Vision and Mission we do not want any player that has the potential to excel as a top level player, not to have the opportunity to reach their highest potential due to real financial hardship. Through corporate sponsorship and donations we are able to assist highly talented players, with reductions in Academy fees. All requests will be handled privately on a case by case basis.
Goalkeeper Tryouts
We are also looking for talented and driven Goalkeepers that have the desire to do more to reach their potential. In addition to keepers receiving top class training from our well trained and experienced Full-time coaching staff, our keepers receive additional professional Keeper training with our affiliate, Eurostar Goalkeeper Academy. Reduced Academy fees available for Goalkeepers through our Goalie Sponsorship Program.

U13 RVDL Lions Win Keele Cup International Soccer Tournament in the UK.
U12 Orange also Win their Division and U12 Blue finish as runners up for the Keele Plate.
U15 RVDL Lions gave a strong performance throughout the Tournament but succumbed in the semi finals to a tough Irish Team who ultimately won overall.

RVDL Soccer School Individual Player Development Program
As Director of Coaching Robin van der Laan will bring his English Premier League playing experience along with his vast knowledge gained as International Head Coach for Manchester United Soccer Schools to lead his team of Internationally experienced, UK trained UEFA A and UEFA B full time professional coaches in providing the very best coaching Canada has to offer.
Enroll in an RVDL Soccer Schools and Academy course and experience the very latest training equipment and coaching methods to help players improve their technique and game awareness in a very friendly, open and active learning environment where the players are encouraged to express themselves without any fear of making mistakes.
It is our mission to deliver high intensity multi faceted sessions that include a lot of detailed coaching in an environment where all players are challenged at their ability level and where they experience how much fun soccer training can be. All players are encouraged to develop good playing habits. During our program the players work on all technical aspects of the game. This includes passing, receiving, dribbling, skills, defending, finishing, all progressing from 1v1 to 2v2 up to 6v6. These high intensity sessions also include soccer related fitness(SAQ).
RVDL Soccer PRE-Academy Teams
For 6-8, 9-11 and 12+ year olds
We are looking for players 6 to 16 years old to join in our Pre-Academy program. Similar to our Soccer Schools, this multi-session per week program provides a more intensive environment to aquire the fundamentals and neccessary tools to provide the solid foundation to excel as their development and confidence grows allowing the player to move towards the academy program.
New to RVDL, we now have our Pre-Academy program for 6-8, 9-11 and 12+ year olds. This 3 times a week program coached by our professional Academy coaches provides the neccessary environment for players wishing to take their soccer to the next level but have not had the quality of coaching to get them there. Through our program this more immersive environment will allow the player to rapidly advance their skills preparing them for the next stage of competetive play.

RVDL Soccer Academy Teams
U8 to U16 Players
All our Academy Teams have progressed very well this season with many players showing marked improvement. The hard work training during the last Winter months and continuing on through the spring and summer was put to the test during our SAAC league play.
We currently have Academy teams ranging from U9 to U14. This 3-5 times a week Academy program provides the Academy player with the very best coaching environment Canada has to offer.
From the English Premiership playing experience Robin injects into the detailed multi layered training sessions presented, utilizing the very latest training techniques and equipment, you can be sure the opportunities for improvements in the player will be significant. Programs include age appropriate training and skills development, Yoga program, Speed Agility quickness program, Strength and conditioning program including a personalized program for continued development at home, Tactical sessions, fitness and skills testing to monitor training effectiveness, games in the SAAC league and various tournaments including trips to the USA and Europe. We will be working closely with players to provide them the neccessary tools to reach their long term goals whether to play professionally or receive a soccer scholarship
